A new approach to understanding money and achieving financial fulfillment

Former Vice-Chairman of the U.S. President’s Advisory Council on Financial Literacy, John Hope Bryant, delivers an accessible and powerful resource for everyday Americans seeking to build a strong financial foundation. This book is an easy-to-read first step toward a fulfilling financial future, helping you understand your relationship to work and money, and a key component to untangling the surprisingly simple puzzle of personal finance.

With an insightful foreword by Doug McMillon, President and CEO of Walmart Inc., you’ll learn how to create wealth for yourself and your family, regardless of your educational or employment background, and how to establish a financial mindset that contributes to a sound future.

Inspired by John Hope Bryant books, “Up From Nothing” and “Financial Literacy for All,” a group of young gogetters embarked on a creative journey to bring the concept of financial freedom to life through puppetry.

At Operation HOPE, we believe that financial literacy is the civil rights issue of this generation. It’s a personal matter to us because we understand the crucial role that financial education plays in empowering individuals and communities.

Operation HOPE CEO John Hope Bryant was a 9-year-old student in South Central Los Angeles when a banker taught a class in financial literacy that changed his life. That encounter sparked his entrepreneurial drive, which evolved into his current success today as one of America’s leading Black business leaders.

Tied to the release of Bryant’s latest book, Financial Literacy for All, we’ve launched a “Campaign for America” in which every American can advance financial literacy for themselves and their communities. We believe that everyone can do something – where they live, learn, work or play – to improve their own financial future or help someone else with theirs. TOGETHER, we can change America.
